My recommendation
I stayed at La Cantera Hotel Boutique in El Calafate and it was a very pleasant surprise. The hotel is in a higher area, a little away from the hustle and bustle of the center, which makes the atmosphere much more peaceful and quiet.
The first thing I noticed was the view. From various parts of the hotel, and especially from the room, you can see Lake Argentino and the Patagonian landscape, which is a spectacle in itself.
The room was comfortable, warm, and had that rustic-modern style that perfectly complements the destination. Breakfast was also a big plus: complete, varied, and a very enjoyable way to start the day. And something I always appreciate: the service. All the staff were very friendly and helpful.
In my experience, it's a very good option if you're looking for a beautiful, quiet, and truly Patagonian place to stay in El Calafate.
